Travel Chaotically! - Paris 4 - Jardin des Tuilleries and Musee de l'Orangerie

Me and B...another day of Paris wanderings!

In a me-made B had already dubbed "The Paris Dress"!
Only doing their job, I'm sure...but not exactly comforting!

The strange ...
...juxtapositions...

...of life!

Me and B....in a parallel doggie universe!

Monet!
The Water Lilies....are so incredibly displayed....

...in the Musee de l'Orangerie.

Art....

...has many faces.

I love B's eye...and this chic's shoes!

Another lovely day in Paris.... (More on the completion of these wanderings as we traveled to Bordeaux, Sarlat, Marseilles later!!)   Travel Chaotically!!! ~ les

Travel Chaotically! - Paris 3 Les Halles

After our beautiful Louvre adventure, we took the metro to Les Halles....

Wandering through the market!

If only we would learn from children!!!

Lovely!

Time for lunch!

Then we were down to the Seine via Pont Neuf for boat tour!

We learned that Pont Neuf (the oldest standing bridge in Paris) was built despite criticism by some of the City Council members, whose objections were memorialized via their faces on the bridge itself by the builders/artisans!!!

A lovely view of the Eiffle Tower from the Seine!

We've learned that travel along a water way through a city (London, Chicago) can be a lovely way to experience the city from a whole other perspective!

The Notre Dame!

I told B that it looked as though we were going to be in for a great sunset!!  But, he said, "No.  The proper conditions are not in place."

Silly, boy!!!

Pont Neuf, on the Seine in Paris, together = the PERFECT conditions - for EVERYTHING!!!
Thanks, Paris!!! ~ les

Travel Chaotically! - Paris Day3 and The Louvre

Next day, we were out early, grabbing a sugar tarte and pain au chocolate from a shop as we walked to the metro stop for a visit to the Louvre!

I. M. Pei's pyramids...

...and other aspects of the building itself...

...make it as impressive as the art it houses!!!

There she is....  Yep!  That small painting on the right.

She continues to keep her secrets well!!

So much beauty, art, history and fun!!!  So lucky to get to see it all again. Now...for a trip over to Les Halles!!! - c
