I've never had to go through a groin surgery as both of my CLND's were axillary...but it does seem that groin resections are tougher and perhaps with a bit greater chance of the development of lymphedema. I am sorry for the tough road you are going through and hope that perhaps you won't develop lymphdedema after all. Hang in there and have a great weekend as well!!! I had ...I just came across this via the MPIP forum. I had a groin lymph node dissection which I think is different from the CLND. It was a rough surgery and has been a rough recovery. I may have lymphedema. Right now I am putting off ipi and holding out for Nivo which I am hoping will be approved for stage 3b after ASCO. God Bless you for all the info you find.
